Contrast between soft and hard support
The balance machine can be divided into hard support balance machine and soft support balance machine according to different supporting system.
Supporting system is very important to choose and use a balance machine.
If the balancing machine works at the critical speed, it is called hard support balancing machine. If the balancing machine works above the critical speed,it is called soft support balance machine.
Both systems are widely used and have their own advantages and disadvantages.Only in practical applications, can we know which type of support balance machine is more suitable.
Hard Support Balancing Machine. Advantages: ? permanent calibration (uses the rotor geometry size to calibration) ? accept overweight (a little) ? simple structure ? low measurement speed ? short measure time Disadvantages: ? sensitive to vibration around, such as mechanical shock ? has certain restrictions for measurement precision and plane separation ? need special foundation some times ? piezoelectric crystal sensor is sensitive to shock

Soft Support Balancing Machine. Advantages: ? not sensitive to vibration and other mechanical shock around ? sensitive for response to the small unbalance ? electric sensors, stable performance and can be used for a long time ? separation is also good even for short rotor plane ? accurate calibration of different deweighting methods (drilling depth, milling, etc.) Disadvantages: ? need actual calibration ? has a limit on overweight measurement ? complex structure design ? high measuring speed, measuring time is long |
